Work Description:
Skin(S)Care unfolds as an immersive installation where the languages of chemistry, fashion, and biotechnology converge into a critical reflection on contemporary beauty culture. The work examines the thin boundary between care and control, desire and harm.

Developing his own line of botanical cosmetics, Vujičić transforms the concept of skincare into a site of resistance. Derived from plants such as fig, rue, and wild carrot, his formulations provoke visible skin reactions — rashes, redness, or eczema — subverting the promise of purity and perfection. These antibeautifying products, displayed in a hybrid setting between laboratory and luxury showroom, confront visitors with the volatility of attraction and repulsion.

By merging alchemy, science, and design, Skin(S)Care exposes beauty as a socially constructed and unstable category. It reveals the tension between the desire for transformation and the violence inherent in self-modification — turning the act of care itself into a critical, performative gesture.
